IPL-11: Rajasthan Royals won by 10 runs in 6 overs, Delhi’s second consecutive defeat
For the first time, the team of Chennai Super Kings has won two consecutive matches in the last 10 matches of IPL.
Rajasthan Royals being played in the IPL defeated Delhi Daredevils by 10 runs in rain-affected match. The game was stopped after 17.5 overs due to rains during the match at the SMS stadium of Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. After that, Delhi batting for 71 runs in 6 overs was not something special and explosive batsman Colin Munro was run out without any ball. After this, Glenn Maxwell and Rishabh Pant gave some good shots to give the team hope to reach the goal, but the target for Delhi ahead of the bowling of Rajasthan proved to be bigger. Laughlin took 2 for 2 and Unadkat took 1 for Rajasthan. However, the turning point of the match proved to be over of Dhawal Kulkarni. He gave away just 4 runs in his one over off Delhi.
Delhi’s Big Hitter shortage
For the Delhi Daredevils, the first over of the innings is not good. Maxwell came in to replace Gautam Gambhir with Munro, but due to lack of coordination, Munro was run out without any ball. After this, Rishabh Pant tried very well to handle the innings with Maxwell, but after Maxwell was dismissed, he also lost wickets at Unadkat’s ball. Pant became the top scorer of the team by making 20 runs in 14 balls. Maxwell played 17 runs in 12 balls.
Rajasthan’s innings not complete with rain
Earlier, Rajasthan posted 153 runs after losing 5 wickets after 17.5 overs. Rahul Tripathi (15) and Krishnappa Gautam (2) scored unbeaten runs. Captain Rahane and Samson took the lead in Rajasthan, looking to struggle with a short and stokes wicket at one point. However, before reaching the big score, Shahbah Nadam gave Samson out of the 11th over and Rahane in the 14th over to give Delhi two quick victories. Shami also got a blistering blow to the opposition team by dismissing explosive batsman Jos Buttler in his last over.
Daredevils again proved to be the heaviest Royals
Between Delhi and Rajasthan, 17 matches have been played in the IPL. Now Rajasthan has won 11 out of these matches, while Delhi has won 6. The special thing is that Delhi has lost 7 consecutive games against Rajasthan. Delhi won the last time in Rajasthan against Rajasthan in 2012.
