Presently, Jhunjhunun district has 955 girls on 1,000 boys. This amazing and pleasant change prompted PM Modi to start his plan from this district. Today, on International Women’s Day, Modi will launch the Beti Bachao Beti Prabha scheme from Jhunjhunun district across the country. The scheme will be implemented in all 640 districts of the country.

According to official figures, there were 8800 girls on 1,000 boys in the sex ratio of the district in 2014. It was 901,1000 in 2015. The number of daughters in our country is 945 in 1991, 927 in 2001 and 918 in 2011. The scheme was implemented due to the proportion of the number of boys girls. Our government has set a budget of 100 crores for this scheme. The plan is being monitored at three levels.
First at the national level – National Task Force Secretariat of MWCD Ministry of Women and Child Development
Second level at the state level – State Task Force Secretariat
Third, at the district level – who are the District Collector.
Women’s Child Development, Health and Family Welfare, Human Resource Development are the Ministry related to this scheme.
To apply Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, you will have to open a bank account for your daughter in which the child’s age limit should be 10 years. All Banks are Authorize for this plan. You can open an account under this scheme in any of your bank’s banks. Post Office can also open an account under this scheme. The biggest feature of the scheme is that it gets more interest on small savings and that girl’s account is tax free as per Section 80C 1961 of Income Tax. To get the benefit of the scheme, certificate of birth certificate of the girl, her parents identity certificate and her parents’ address is necessary. Under the scheme, the girl’s parents deposit the money in the bank account. The money can be deposited till the girl completes 21 years. When the girl turns 29, then the amount filled up under this scheme can be completely withdrawn. If a girl turns 18 and wants to marry, she can withdraw her fund.
